The Team

The owner and founder of Story Song, as a performer, Becky Thomas has been spinning stories and songs since she was knee high to a grasshopper.  In 2011, she brought her two loves together, releasing the music album, "Miracles of the North",  based on stories she had been gifted with from native villages in northern BC.   Wanting to preserve their important history for generations to come, she carefully worked with the original storytellers to craft songs that would share their stories with the world.   The album earned some award nominations from CGMA and some radio play.

Since then, Thomas has released a children's album of stories both spoken and sung, called "Once Upon A Story", working with Kelly Parker from Turtle Island Music, and the renowned Winston Wuttenee.  She is a published author of  short stories, and has contributed to other books and newspaper articles.  She has especially enjoyed working with clients who have wanted personal songs and recordings made for loved ones whether for birthday, anniversary or memorial celebrations.

In addition, Thomas also has a background as a solo artist.  Her record debut, I Delight in You" earned her four nominations from the Canadian Gospel Music Association for best aboriginal song, best aboriginal album and best country/bluegrass song.  She was winner of  Best Female Artist with the Native American Music Awards for her album, "Sacred Ground".   Currently.  she is working on producing a series of books for The Hummingbird Circle called, "The Isha Chronicles", and is producing singles of new music for the new all female music cooperative which includes herself, Kelly Montijo Fink, Lecia Goerke and Krista Pederson called, "Nonetheless".

Originally hailing from Bristol Tennessee,  this former southern belle of Irish and Cherokee heritage now waltzes thru the prairie grass of Saskatchewan with her tall husband, Larry.  For booking information for herself or for Nonetheless, please contact at:
